Girls are told to be skinny but not too skinny and to wear makeup but not so much that guys can tell and to dress in revealing clothes but not too revealing or else you’re a slut and a hundred other contradictory standards so I think guys can deal with being made fun of for wearing fedoras

Anonymous said: Have you seen the domestic abuse social experiment? When the "bf" was both physically and emotionally abusing his "gf" in public people were quick to react and help her. But when they switched it up and the girl was abusing the guy not one person tried to help, one guy joined and tried hitting the guy too and a lot of people were laughing at the guy getting hit. And that is a big reason why men are seen as bad, because when men try to report their gf abusing them cops laugh it off and don't und

this is true, although you also have to call into question, how much pain can a woman actually inflict on a man? Ive had male friends ASK me to punch them because they found it funny that it doesnt hurt. Maybe the guy joined in because he believed the woman was trying to defend herself from the man? Because it is SO common for men to hit women and so UNCOMMON for women to hit men that if we see a woman hitting a man we assume shes probably defending herself from him because he tried to hit her. Im not saying it doesnt happen, women can be abusive and cops should take that seriously. But its kind of like comparing a German Shepard to a Chihuahua. Chihuahuas absolutely can bite you and draw blood or hurt you if they bit your face, but most of the time their bites dont really hurt. But Police use German Shepards as attack dogs because they can take down a human.

How about this- ALL ABUSE IS ABUSE AND SHOULD BE VIEWED AS SUCH.

ETA: This is a scene from The House I Live In, a film on the American drug war and its effects on communities of color, education, the class disparity and the prison industrial complex.  I cannot recommend this film highly enough.
